Post here if you have an interest in participating in a Diablo 2 group. The teams would meet regularly, on a weekly basis, for an hour or so a night. The main goal would be to defeat up to Nightmare Act 5, with a longterm goal of taking Hell, if the season lasts long enough. We'd be doing two groups, provided we had enough people.

The first group would be a traditional HCHC group of one offensive paladin, one defensive paladin, and one of each class. For a further breakdown, please see the rules pinned on the forum here.

For the second group, it is basically just Purists. Any types and builds acceptable, however, we would be playing all Paladins, and nobody should be playing the exact same build. Thus, for example, a tesladin and a pyrodin would be fine, but not a ranger with a fire-aura and a fire-aura vengeance paladin; it's really a bit too similar.

All volunteers? Anyone think this sounds like fun?

I'd be willing to sub whenever I'm off work, but my schedule makes it hard for me to commit to a time every week. sorcerer.gif

I would be willing to make a FOH/Tesladin, or my old standby Frosty, for purists.

On another note, it strikes me as possible there are some players out there who do not like HC. Perhaps we could have some kind of group for them as well.

Looks like there's a bit more interest for an all-paladin group.

Let's focus on Purists for this. Any volunteers specifically for this?

If we are going for an all Paladin group I'll volunteer a Frost Zealot. We have done purists and HCHC. Why not do a group similar to purists but with another class like maaybe Necro or druid Amazon etc? There are multiple builds posible for each class and might be fun for people to try things they don't normaly do.

Before purists, we rand Friday night games: FNP (all Pally), FND (all Druids) & FNA (all Assassins). sorcerer.gif

I am still interested in a Purist group as Hammerdin or Smiter or whatever. Char's idea of doing a mixed hardcore group also sounds good.

I'm interested in starting a solid group of HCL players after the ladder reset. No rules or restrictions on gear, armory access, class, spec, or anything else. Just a group of people committed to moving slowly and getting the job done.

Otherwise I wouldn't mind being a sub depending on the day and time.

Your idea of a "no rules" HCL group is a good one, and I would be interested in that. It is very much in the spirit of TCHC and, after all those years, still very much viable.

*Waits for the ladder reset.

Once the ladder resets, I plan to work on the TCHC resource account, to get a ladder Chanter and BO barb ready. sorcerer.gif
